Apple will release the M4 chip in late 2024 with a focus on AI performance
Jakarta (MidLand) – Apple is speeding up development chip The next generation of the M4 will be released in late 2024.
The news came from senior technology reporter Mark Gurman of Bloomberg who said chip To support Mac performance, the focus will be on increasing computing performance using artificial intelligence or artificial intelligence (TO THE).
Following the M3’s October 2023 launch, Gurman said the M4 could potentially be released at a similar release time in October 2024.

The launch will be gradual, starting with updates chip to the iMac, then the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro, the high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, and the Mac mini models.
Updates to the 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air will follow in spring 2025, then the Mac Studio in mid-2025, and finally the Mac Pro in late 2025.
Gurman also reported the codename for at least three variants of the M4, namely Donan (low-end), Good (mid range) and Hydra (high end).

Donan is available on MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and Mac mini models basic level.
Meanwhile, Brava complements high-end MacBook Pro and Mac mini configurations.
Finally, the Hidra chip, perhaps destined for the Mac Pro, suggests the potential for “Ultra” or “Extreme” imaging when the product is released.
M4 Mac desktops are expected to support a significant increase in memory, reaching up to 512GB of unified memory up from the current limit of 192GB.
