Apple will change “Apple ID” to “Apple Account” starting with iOS 18
Badung Regency (MidLand) – Technology company Apple, known for its popular products such as iPhone and iPad, will reportedly change the name of its product account from the previous “Apple ID” to “Apple Account” .
This news was first revealed by Mac Rumors in late February 2024 and was further strengthened by news brought by senior technology journalist Mark Gurman who said the same thing.
In his newsletter, Mark Gurman said that the term “Apple Account” will begin to be used later this year both online and in Apple’s next major software releases, such as iOS 18 for iPhone and watchOS 11 for Apple Watch.

According to him, currently Apple’s efforts to introduce this provision can be seen when the company refers to funds added to an Apple ID as “Apple Account Balance”.
Mark Gurman also stated that the Cupertino company already has a team specially trained to deal with “Apple accounts”.
The full rebranding from Apple ID to Apple Account is estimated to occur in late 2024, two decades after the term Apple ID was introduced.
It is most likely that the image change will be introduced at the WWDC 2024 event which falls at the end of the first half of 2024, and the update will begin to be widely released in September 2024.
The Apple ID itself has long been known as the identity used by Apple product owners to be able to register for various services such as access to the App Store application store and iCloud drive services.
With these changes, users will obviously accept the terms and should understand the changes to these terms. This was reported by Mac Rumors, Sunday (3/17).
