Apple reportedly still hopes to develop a foldable iPhone
Badung Regency (MidLand) – Apple reportedly still hopes to develop a foldable device in the form of a foldable smartphone or iPhone.
This is clearly different from previous reports which revealed that Apple’s plans to make foldable devices were limited to tablets and Macs.
The latest information, first published by local Korean media outlet Alpha Business with an anonymous reliable source, revealed that hopes for the development of a foldable iPhone became clear when this product was given a launch target early on of 2027.

The Cupertino company took a long time to thoroughly prepare, including the supply and demand of foldable screens.
However, it is known that the time period for checking and selecting component suppliers remains the same. Apple reportedly used Samsung Display and LG Display products to provide prototype displays.
It is known that Apple has patented a solution to reduce creases when the screen is folded in half and you could say that this company is a pioneer because no other company has made a screen like this.
The solution involves cutting grooves into ultra-thin glass and covering them with a flexible polymer. This makes the screen panel bend more easily and form less visible creases.
In any case, it seems that Apple is planning to release a foldable iPhone at the same time as the 18th generation iPhone.
With this delay, he’ll probably launch it himself or perhaps share it with a foldable iPad.
This tablet was initially expected to launch in 2026, but it is not yet known whether the foldable iPhone plan will also postpone its launch to 2027 or not. This was reported by GSM Arena on Monday (18/3).
