Apple gets into AI trend, launches fast and powerful M4 chip
Jakarta (MidLand) – Apple officially unveiled its latest product from the United States on Tuesday (7/5), local time chip M4 like chip which can support AI performance or artificial intelligence (TO THE).
This indicates that Apple is officially following the trend of artificial intelligence in devices, like its competitors in the current technology industry.
The M4 chip features the fastest neural engine Apple can develop and is capable of performing up to 38 trillion operations per second.
Apple says the capability is faster than the AI neural processing unit found in any device today.

Apple’s senior vice president of hardware technologies, Johnny Srouji, said that the presence of M4 in Apple’s latest device, the iPad Pro, is an example of the most efficient AI-supported device currently.
“The power-efficient performance of the M4, along with its new display engine, enables a slim design and innovative display on iPad Pro. while fundamental improvements to the CPU, GPU, Neural motor, and the memory system makes the M4 very suitable for use. for the latest applications using artificial intelligence,” Srouji said in his official statement.
In details chip The M4 has up to 10 cores Central processor unit (CPU), of which 4 cores are performance cores and 6 are efficiency cores.
This CPU is claimed to be 1.5 times faster than the M2 in the previous iPad Pro released in 2022, but there is a surprising lack of comparison with the M3.
Chip It is built on the second generation 3nm process and supports optimal performance on OLED displays Promotion 10Hz-120Hz.
On the side Graphics processor unit (GPU) has 10 cores and ray tracing hardware accelerated.
The M4 is said to offer the same performance as the M2 while using only half the power.
The M4 has support for hardware acceleration AV1 codec, as well as H.264, HEVC and ProRes.
His debut chipsets It looks complete because it is presented directly through the 2024 iPad Pro device.
