Jakarta (MidLand) – Anker is recalling its Power Bank 321 due to concerns that the device could pose a fire risk.
The Power Bank 321 (PowerCore 5k, model number A1112) can reportedly cause fires due to manufacturing defects. The company says this issue only affects a limited number of devices, however it has chosen to recall them all.

According to Anker, the power bank’s lithium-ion battery can overheat, potentially causing plastic components to melt and smoke.
The company said the issue specifically lies in the number of batteries used in the products after March 2023, however it is still contacting all customers who purchased the devices as an added precaution.
To find out if a power bank is affected, users can check the model by looking at the bottom of the device and confirming that it says Anker 321 Power Bank (PowerCore 5K, Black), Model: A1112.
If you are found to have the power bank, Anker recommends that you immediately stop using it and store it in a safe place before disposing of it at a facility that accepts lithium batteries.
Users can check the company’s website to find out if their power bank is included in the recall. This was broadcast by PC Mag, Sunday.
