AirPods and AirPods Max will switch to USB-C ports next year
TIME.CO, Jakarta – This year’s iPhone series will have big changes. Rumors going around say that the iPhone’s power port will eventually change to a port USB-C from the port of illumination. Recently, AirPods and AirPods Pro will follow in the footsteps of Apple’s mobile phone series next year.
Quoted from Gadgets now, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman said that AirPods e AirPod Max it could switch to a USB-C port as early as next year. Gurman didn’t mention whether the AirPods and AirPods Max will get a major overhaul or get a new charging case with a USB-C port.
The new second generation AirPods Pro arriving with the iPhone 15 series will not undergo any hardware changes. However, some hardware changes to the AirPods and AirPods Max could arrive next year as both devices will receive a series of updates and the USB-C port could be one of those updates.
New features coming to AirPods
While there are no new hardware updates this year, Apple already has new features for the AirPods Pro via a software update.

Apple announced AirPods software features at WWDC 2023 that include adaptive audio, “conversation awareness,” and improved background noise reduction. Adaptive audio combines noise cancellation and transparency that will adjust based on the environmental conditions around the user.
The “conversation awareness” feature automatically turns on transparency mode when a user is detected speaking. The AirPods should also offer better noise cancellation, and automatic device switching between Apple platforms should work faster and more reliably when using the AirPods.
This update will be released this fall along with iOS 17. AirPods will also reportedly receive new health features. However, these features are not expected to be announced at the next event.
