Previously, the owner of X, Elon Musk, had talked about it a long time ago. He said the block feature made no sense, while the “deactivate” feature silenced the account.

However, many Twitter users deliberately block certain accounts, from a desire to reduce spam to protect their privacy. The block feature on Twitter is also widely used by users to avoid harassment on microblogging sites.

Elon Musk still wants to eliminate the blocking feature. He communicated this in his personal X account, Friday evening WIB (8/18/2023).

“Block functionality will be removed, except for DMs. [Fitur] that doesn’t make sense,” Musk explained.

Musk himself continues to make a number of revolutions in X. He also seems serious about introducing new breakthroughs to his competitors.

But behind it all, Musk doesn’t want to compromise with his decision. Even recently, X was reported to restrict links or links leading to a number of sites that often annoyed Elon Musk.
