700 police were alerted during presidential candidate Ganjar’s visit to Manado

Manado (MidLand) – Around 700 police officers secured the visit of Indonesian presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo to the North Sulawesi city of Manado on Thursday.

“Yes, we have prepared 700 personnel from both regional and regional police,” said Manado police chief Pol Commissioner Julianto Sirait after leading security forces for Indonesian presidential candidate Ganjar’s visit to Manado.

It was also said that these personnel were distributed at points that Ganjar would visit, from the airport to different destination locations.

“If he visits Tomohon, he willbackup by Tomohon police personnel,” he said.

Police Commissioner. Julianto said the staff on duty will use a persuasive approach in handling the crowd.

During a visit to Manado, it was learned that there were several sets of activities for Indonesian presidential candidate, Ganjar, after arriving at Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado.

Ganjar will visit the GMIM Synodal Office in Tomohon City. There, Ganjar will meet and dialogue with the working body of the GMIM Synodal Assembly.

Next, visit Tomohon Market and take a break at Manado Marine Tourism before the campaign Popular celebration of North Sulawesi at the KONI Sario Manado camp.

After the campaign, presidential candidate Ganjar and his entourage left for Jakarta.

Meanwhile, it was observed that the KONI Sario Manado Field, which will be the center of Indonesian presidential candidate Ganjar’s campaign, was beginning to fill with partisans, sympathizers and party cadres supporting the No. 3 presidential candidate.

Not only from Manado, residents who will take part in Ganjar’s speech also come from Bolaang Mongondow Raya and South Minahasa Regency and surrounding areas, where it will take several hours to reach the campaign site.

“I arrived from Modoinding around 03.00, I arrived at 06.00 WITA to listen to Pak Ganjar’s speech,” said the administrator of PDI Perjuangan branch in Palelon Modoinding village, South Minahasa regency.

Previously, the Indonesian KPU had determined the participants in the 2024 presidential and vice-presidential elections (Pilpres), namely the pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. serial number 3.

The KPU also set an election period from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, a quiet period from February 11 to 13, and polling day on February 14, 2024.
