5.2 magnitude earthquake hits Central Sulawesi, residents remember Palu disaster

According to the head of the BMKG Earthquake and Tsunami Center, Daryono, it was a shallow earthquake due to active fault activity. “Earthquakes have a source mechanism which indicates that earthquakes have a strike-slip motion mechanism,” he said.

In addition, the earthquake was located on the mainland in Torue area, Paris Moutong, Central Sulawesi at a depth of 10km.
