Tulibot, advanced glasses for disabled deaf people made by PENS students
MidLand, Jakarta – Various innovations continue to be presented by student, including from vocational education. One of these is the Tulipbot Smart Glasses, smart glasses intended to facilitate communication for people with disabilities deaf disability or the deaf as a result of the innovation of the Surabaya State Polytechnic of Electronics (PENS).
One of the developers of the Tulibot team, Muhammad Alan Nur, said that Tulibot Smart Glasses are smart glasses that combine applications and smart glasses. These advanced glasses work by integrating applications and technology smart glasses to help deaf people communicate.
“The goal of developing Tulibot is to make communication easily accessible to people with hearing impairments,” said Alan, quoted by the website of the General Directorate of Professional Studies, Ministry of Education and Culture, Saturday, December 2 2023.
The device detects audio through an app that uses advanced voice recognition technology, translates it into text and displays it on the glasses lenses in real time. Allows deaf users to read what is said in the form subtitle as they interact, improving their ability to follow conversations and facilitating social inclusion.
This system can also identify who is speaking and provide clearer context in the conversation. DThanks to this technology’s advanced voice recognition technology, these glasses will provide accurate speaker identification by converting audio into subtitle seamless images in less than a second.
Tulipbot Smart Glasses also enable manufacturing subtitle regularly real time for group discussions, meetings and daily interactions. In this way, the presence of this device can encourage inclusiveness.
“Our hope and mission is to ensure that everyone can participate and be heard, revolutionizing how we communicate and connect in a diverse world,” Alan said.
Basically, Tulibot will support people with hearing disabilities through text-to-speech solutions and innovative smart glasses that directly transcribe spoken language into text. The target market for Tulipbot is people with hearing disabilities.
“Every day Tulipbot helps thousands of people and leading organizations build a more inclusive society,” said Alan.
This Tulibot will be one of the innovations featured at VOKASIFEST 2023 with the theme “Creating Superior Human Resources for a Golden Indonesia 2045”. The event will be held on 11-12 December 2023 at Graha Bhakti Budaya, Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Central Jakarta.
