Launch Evening Standard, new software allows PS5 owners to use Dolby 3D Audio. It can bring advanced sound effects like overhead position sound to compatible games.
Absolutely, this audio model uses the Tempest 3D AudioTech model which is not specific only for PS5 BluRay users. Sony says this Atmos audio will be possible in future film and television applications.
Another change Sony has made to the PS5 is storage. Now users can enjoy up to 8TB storage capacity with M.2 SSD support. Previously, users only had a storage capacity limit of 4TB.
Unfortunately, this software update is a beta release and is for specific countries. The UK is one such country, but owners must register for the beta software program to gain access. However, not everyone who registers can gain access.
“If you are selected to participate in the beta, you will receive an email invitation today when it becomes available for download,” wrote the Sony PlayStation blog, quoted by the Evening Standard.
