Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Flip Uses 100% recycled materials: Okezone techno

SAMSUNG officially released the latest foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 at the Galaxy Unpacked event. Both of these premium class smartphones are also made from recycled materials.

“The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 use a wider variety of recycled materials than the previous generation, including recycled materials from fishing net waste, water barrels and polyethylene terephthalate bottles,” Ricky said.

“In fact, the paper used for the packing boxes uses 100% recycled material,” he continued.

Ricky explained, the waste was dissolved and separated from the feces. then recycled to make components in the manufacturing process of Samsung devices. There is also recycled material from glass waste deriving from production activities.

This glass waste is used to produce by-products. The waste glass is crushed into scrap and then used as a component in the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 manufacturing process.

Even though it is made from recycled materials, Ricky ensures that the device has been specifically designed for a longer and optimal life. He said users need not worry about its duration.

“Each device comes with five years of security updates and four generations of operating system updates that help extend the product lifecycle.”

Of note, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 comes with a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen. The screen has a resolution of 2176 x 1812 and supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

For the front screen, it uses HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X which measures 6.2 inches. This front screen has a resolution of 2316 x 904 and is also equipped with an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz. When folded, the screen has dimensions of 67.1 x 154.9 x 13.4 mm, while when unfolded, the dimensions are 129.9 x 154.9 x 6.1 mm. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is also quite light, weighing just 253g.

In the camera sector, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 features a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 10MP selfie camera. Interestingly, the telephoto lens used can perform 3x optical zoom.

To support its performance, it uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor combined with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. Its power comes from a 4,400mAh battery that features 25W fast charging.

For the front screen, it uses a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED panel. This front screen has a resolution of 720 x 748 and is equipped with a refresh rate of 60Hz.

When the screen is folded, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 has dimensions of 71.9 x 85.1 x 15.1 mm, while when unfolded the dimensions are 71.9 x 165.1 x 6.9 mm. The weight of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is 187 g.

For photography, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 relies on a 12MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP front camera. This line of cameras is supported by the optical image stabilization (OIS) feature.

In the kitchen track sector, it uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 combined with 8GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. The battery capacity is 3,700mAh, equipped with 25W fast charging.
