Now kepolisian together with the District Attorney of the Municipality of Bogor also followed up on alleged acts of violation of the law relating to PPDB City of Bogor 2023.
Intel Section Chief at Bogor City Attorney’s Office Sigit Prabawa Nugraha said he investigated the alleged PPDB fraud in schools within the Bogor City Education Bureau. “Regarding the PPDB, the prosecutor’s office will not remain silent, which means that we will certainly investigate any information submitted or that we know of,” he said on Monday, July 31, 2023.
According to Sigit, this PPDB issue must pay attention to the legal aspects, concerning justice, certainty and the benefits of the applied law. “The latter is what we’re focusing on, not letting our law enforcement impact or not be good,” he said.
In PPDB 2023, Bogor Mayor Bima Arya had previously encountered allegations of fraud, especially for the zoning route. She has encountered data manipulation and attempts to entrust the identities of children to families close to the target schools.
Bogor City Police Chief Commissioner Bismo Teguh Prakoso said his party cooperated with the inspectorate in investigating the PPDB fraud case. A total of 24 witnesses were examined.
“Of the 24 witnesses, some are from the community, some from the Dukcapil office, some from the education office, some from school principals,” Bismo said.

According to Bismo, the witness examination was to determine whether or not there was a misdemeanor in the implementation of PPDB 2023. In the meantime, criminal elements have been detected, namely the falsification of administrative documents or information in administration.
“The allegations of criminal elements started with the use of false documents. From entering false statements or false documents. Now, we are waiting for the results of the investigation,” Bismo said.
Through his official account, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil also revealed that there have been 80 PPDB fraud cases in his area which have been followed up by the police. Earlier, he said there were 4,000 prospective students whose enrollment was cancelled.
“About 80 cases of falsifying PPDB 2023 requirements were found using the Family Card QR code electronic change mode, the link to which goes to the Dukcapil website. So much so that the data verified by the PPDB commission seems to be close to the school, even if it is not. This one will be reported to the police because he has entered the realm of crime. Modifying a family card electronically is equivalent to forging state documents,” he said.
